COVID 19

Dear Member,

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic things are a little different to the DA and THS camping that we are used to and we now have to operate as pop up campsites rather than social gatherings for the foreseeable future. Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the new rules for camping set out below in accordance with the Camping and Caravanning Club Green Paper 3.16 and the government guidelines. You may find it useful to print or save this document as we are unable to provide paper copies. We are all learning together and things may change as we gain experience of the new way we have to operate and government and HQ guidance evolves.

We are sure we will all adjust to the new way of camping and are just very pleased to be offering the great value afforded by DA camping once again!

You will still need to show your membership card and book in when you arrive at site.

Please do not travel if you have any of the following symptoms, or have been told to self-isolate by track and trace:

  • New continuous cough
  • Raised temperature
  • Achy limbs
  • Loss of taste or smell

Please ensure you bring your own anti-viral hand sanitiser and antiviral surface wipes with you on arrival at the site.

On Arrival

Please remain in your vehicle.

You will be asked if any member of your party has Covid 19 symptoms or have been told to self –isolate by track and trace. If they have you will be refused entry to the site and advised to return home and seek medical advice.

If you are paying by cash please have the right money for the fees as no change will be given and any surplus will be treated as a donation to DDA Charity.

Parents/carers must be aware of where their children are at all times and oversee them.

Please be aware there are strictly no day visitors to the site.

Elsan or Chemical Toilet Disposal Point (CDP)

There will be a 4mx4m exclusion zone around the CDP, Please ensure there is only one person at a time within this area.

Please wash your hands thoroughly at your unit before and after using the CDP.

It is recommended that face coverings are used when empting toilet cassettes.

In the event of a spillage this should be cleaned by the camper immediately.

If the CDP is left unclean the steward should be notified immediately

Please observe social distancing procedures whilst waiting to use the CDP.

PLEASE DO NOT WASH YOUR HANDS AT THE WATER TAP.

Rubbish Disposal.

All rubbish must be taken home with you, any bins on site MUST NOT be used.

Social Gatherings

Please observe social distancing procedures at all times on site.

Please note that under the new Covid 19 restrictions this is an individually pitched campsite and not a social event or gathering.

Gatherings or socials are NOT permitted on site unless within an agreed government defined social bubble.

Members should not gather in awnings, tents, motorhomes or caravans unless within an agreed government defined social bubble.

Please do not let children roam unsupervised around the campsite so they do not inadvertently break social distancing rules.

Communal BBQs are not allowed other than with your camping household.

If You Become Ill on Site and have Covid-19 Symptoms

If a camper becomes ill and has Covid-19 symptoms everyone in their unit/household must leave the site immediately, return home and seek appropriate medical guidance.
